Is it possible to block someone from an open community on LJ?

25djadja has been repeatedly stealing my icons, modifying them slightly, and then claiming as her own - all without asking or crediting me. I asked her to stop doing it, she denied she was doing it, and has since continued doing it. I commented on her latest batch where she'd stolen my icons, only for the comment to be promptly deleted, me blocked from commenting on her journal, and me blocked from PM-ing her. Frankly I'm pissed off with her stealing my work, and I'd like to block her from viewing my graphics comm so that she can't do it to me any more. Is this even possible? I don't want to have to make my comm private =/

Oh, and jsyk, here are the icons of mine she's stolen, and 'her' icons made from mine. It's not just me she's taken icons from - sky_magenta, julie_izumi, biliki, theladymorgan, ladykate63, jammeke, confessoralana, schryosel, nim4, responsiveness (on RHFC), alisea_dream, nightwatchman89 (on RHFC), simply_aly, equanimousicons, themirrorofsin & liona5 have all had their work stolen, and these are just the 72 icons we know about so far. My icons are on the left, 'hers' are on the right, and all match up perfectly in PowerPoint.

It's that last one that REALLY annoys me, but I'm rather hacked off about all of them tbh. I don't fucking care if her icons look better, I'm pissed off and she shouldn't be doing it. [/rant for now]

Yep, I'm being very meticulous about this - and I'm screenshotting all her entries with stolen icons so that she can't later edit the entry and deny everything.

I wasn't even aware of that last batch; I really thought she wouldn't dare to do it again. Commented on her last batch last night, asking her to remove the stolen icons. She deleted the comment. Naturally.

(Eep, feeling a bit guilty for leaving the fandom for so long, but I really needed the break. I'm doing great, thank you. What about you? Oh, and I will get back to you on that Stravaganza cast list; I'm re-reading the books because I'm not good at remembering physical descriptions--though it's not like I need an excuse to read those books anyway...)

Do you think you could link me to where you originally posted the icons she's stolen from you? If you look at my reply to cleo_eurydike above I've given her links to where I originally posted my icons and where 25djadja originally posted her copies, so that the dates can be seen clearly etc., and we have links to all original posts.

I can't thank you enough for putting this up Novindalf. I haven't seen her latest batches but I do know she once snatched a Guy-icon of mine and edited it. My comment which politely informed her that it's not exactly nice to do so was of course promptly deleted and I only got a pm in reply which explained how it isn't her but her 'sister' who lives somewhere else who does this icon-stealing business. I wasn't really convinced and reading your post has just confirmed those suspicions. The gall of some people, seriously. -_-

This is extremely upsetting! >:-( I read through the messages and it makes me so angry on your behalf!

I co-mod lordgisborne and all we have from her there is a video. I will be on the look-out, be sure of that.

Also, I've co-modded hoodland, but only very little. It is dormant now and most icons there are made as pass-it-on games. 25djadja is a member there. I will notify shinysparks who is in the process of stepping down from modding and who can alert a future mod, if we get one.

I think we're safe on teh pass-it-on icons front, as she has to use the screencaps provided there, so it's be very difficult for her to find an icon of someone else's using the same screencap. But yes, if you could alert shinyspark/the future mod, that'd be so helpful!

I found 6. It's Aurora's from Round 7 of the RHFC 20in20. It's AC #5 from her set. You'll have to forgive me for not linking - I'm still trying to figure out how things like that work on LJ commenting...but I put them next to each other on the MS Word doc I'm doing my Developmental Biology homework on and they're identical save for where she tried to edit out the green filter Aurora used. You can still see part of it on Marian's sleeve, which should be blue with that editing if it came from the original cap if I'm not wrong.

I know I've seen 7 & 9 before somewhere. I don't have originals, though I have a faint sneaking suspicion I know where 9 came from.
